El Valle is a fishing village on Colombia's Pacific coast.
Off the tourist trail, the Chocó stretches like a green line between jungle and ocean. The rainforest dives straight into the Pacific, and its biodiversity is among the richest on earth.
Life here follows the tides. You come to walk the jungle, watch for whales, slow down.

Humpback whales
Every year they travel up from Antarctica to give birth in the warm waters of the Colombian Pacific. We head out at dawn, cut the engine. Silence — then a breath.
